The procedure for organizing and conducting research activities at the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic is regulated by the Regulations on Research and Development, Regulations on structural units; it is determined by the annual plans of research activities of the university.

Issues of research work are reflected in the Regulations on the departments, a separate section is included in the individual work plans of the teaching staff of the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic for the academic year.

Every year the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic plans and successfully implements a number of tasks aimed at the development of research activities.

The results of this work are reflected: in the implementation of research projects carried out by the university and its departments; in the organization, conduct, participation in scientific and practical international, regional and national conferences, round tables, scientific seminars, which bring together both experienced teachers and practitioners, and young teachers, graduate students, undergraduates and students; in published articles, textbooks, monographs, etc. The University organizes guest lectures on a regular basis, inviting experts in various areas of scientific and practical activities.

The Kyrgyz-Belarusian Education and Research Center was opened at the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 16, 2018. This center was created within the framework of partnership between the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic and P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University and further expansion of opportunities in training specialists with higher education in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic under the auspices of P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University.

The main directions in the Center's activity are focused on the preparation and implementation of joint educational, research and innovation projects, as well as the creation of a joint program of "Two Diplomas", exchange of students in order to expand academic mobility, university professors for lecturing. These areas of the Center's activities will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for further integration of higher education into the global educational space.

The activity of the innovative educational and research center is aimed at providing quality education based on modern requirements, standards and technologies.

International University supports the youth policy of the state, taking into account that the youth is one of the socially active layers of the population, having an important potential weight in the future. Student youth actively participates in scientific-research work together with leading scientists of the university. There are student scientific societies and circles, student conferences, seminars, subject Olympiads, national competitions of scientific works on natural, technical, social-humanitarian and economic sciences are held annually at the University.
