Educational department:

The Academic Department is one of the university's main structural divisions. It was created to organize the educational process for higher education programs and ensure its improvement. It plans and organizes the educational process for all modes of study, develops regulatory documentation for academic and methodological work, evaluates the educational process, statistically processes assessment results, and compiles consolidated statistical reports on student enrollment and the annual report on academic and methodological work.

The Academic Department is responsible for all matters related to the preparation and approval of curricula and academic schedules, and is directly involved in resolving them. The Academic Department prepares documentation packages for licensing, certification, and accreditation of the university, prepares materials for the university and specialty rankings, and oversees the planning and implementation of the teaching load of faculty members.

The Academic Department works closely with faculties and departments, the Academic and Methodological Council, the Editorial and Publishing Department, the Information Technology Center, and others. This helps improve the quality of management and organizational activities.
The main goal of the Educational Department:
The aim is to improve and effectively plan, organize, manage and control the educational process at the MUKR based on the joint activities of the management, faculty, educational support staff, administrative and economic personnel and students in the training of highly qualified specialists based on credit technology in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2012–2020.
Areas of activity of the Educational Department:
  • Ongoing planning, organization, and monitoring of the educational process;
  • improvement of regulatory documentation governing the educational process;
  • organization of interaction between structural divisions in the development of the university's core educational documentation;
  • preparation of reports on the implementation of educational programs and the educational process at the university;
  • monitoring the planning and actual performance of the teaching load by faculty;
  • maintaining student personal files and organizing the processing of educational documents;
  • analysis and compilation of information for the preparation of decisions by the rector's office on educational process management;
  • analysis of the educational process, examination results, and final state certification.

The main tasks of the department are:
  • Plans, organizes, and monitors the educational process for all modes of study;
  • Organizes and monitors student internships;
  • Develops and maintains a database of student populations for all modes of study;
  • Plans and organizes professional development for faculty;
  • Performs all types of reporting on the university's educational activities;
  • Coordinates the implementation and use of a point-rating system for teaching and student performance assessment in faculties;
  • Collects and verifies documentation for faculty performance ratings and the establishment of monthly salary supplements from the incentive payment fund;
  • Conducts work on the transition to a tiered education system;
  • Develops plans for the implementation of innovative technologies, active and interactive teaching methods in the educational process and coordinates this work;
  • Collects and submits materials for university licensing and accreditation;
  • Conducts regular inspections of faculty compliance with work discipline, student attendance, accounting for and optimization of classroom space, monitoring of class schedules, etc.
